Ticket Holder Rights & Responsibilities
What you can count on from us, and what we ask of you, for Beats & Bars Barbecue, April 23–25, 2027, in Augusta, Georgia. All dates and times are Eastern Time.
Your pass
Each pass belongs to the person named on it and covers the day or days shown. A Weekend Pass covers Friday, Saturday and Sunday. You can buy passes for other people; you remain the purchaser of record, and each pass belongs to its named attendee.
Every day, including Sunday, is open to the whole family. Ages 6–13 pay $20 for Friday, $25 for Saturday, half the adult price for Sunday, and a reduced Youth Weekend Pass price shown on Tickets & Passes. Children 5 and under attend every day free, and still need to be registered by name. Attendees 14 and older use adult prices.
Sunday and Weekend admission make you eligible to reserve a seat on the Sunday Patriot Riverboat cruise. Admission itself doesn’t reserve or guarantee a seat: advance reservation is required, and seating is limited and first-come, first-served. Additional sailings may be added depending on demand and the operator’s availability, but aren’t guaranteed. Patriot Riverboat, the independent boat operator, sets its own boarding, capacity and safety rules.
Anyone under 18 must attend with a responsible adult who supervises them throughout the event. A responsible adult isn’t automatically a legal guardian: only a parent or legal guardian can complete a minor’s waiver and permissions.
Price, taxes and fees
Admission prices include Georgia sales tax, and there are no service or processing fees: the price shown is the price you pay. Your receipt shows the tax included. You always see the full amount before you confirm payment.
Your price is locked
Prices rise at set dates during the sales period. Once you complete a purchase, your price is locked; a later price increase never changes what you paid.
Refunds you request
You can request a refund until 11:59 PM Eastern Time on March 19, 2027. Requests are made by email to tickets@beatsandbarsbbq.com with your order number. After that deadline, customer-requested cancellations are not refunded.
If you don’t attend
If the event takes place and you don’t attend, no refund is due.
If we cancel
If Beats & Bars cancels, your rights to a refund or other remedy continue after March 19. We refund to your original payment method by default, and we don’t wait for you to respond before doing so. You may choose an available alternative instead, but we will never switch your refund to credit unless you choose it. If a refund can’t be returned to you, we keep it recorded as money we owe you and keep trying to reach you.
If we postpone, move or change the event
If the event is postponed or moved to a materially different location, we’ll contact purchasers directly by email. You can accept the new date or location, or request a refund. We’ll only switch you to credit if you choose it.
If we cancel a day you bought a single-day pass for, you can get a refund for that day. If part of a multi-day pass is lost, or a core part of the included experience is removed, we’ll offer a remedy that fits what was lost; there’s no automatic formula such as one-third per day.
Ordinary programming changes, like lineup substitutions or schedule adjustments, don’t by themselves create a refund right. None of these organizer-caused remedies are limited by the March 19 deadline. Write to tickets@beatsandbarsbbq.com with your order number.
Transfers
Admission transfers are not currently self-service. Contact Beats & Bars Barbecue at tickets@beatsandbarsbbq.com for help with an eligible transfer. A transfer changes the named attendee only; the original purchaser keeps the order, and the new attendee must meet the same age, guardian and waiver requirements.
Waivers and participation
Paying secures your pass. Before taking part, every adult attendee completes their own event waiver through a personal link, and a parent or legal guardian completes it for anyone under 18. A purchaser can’t sign a waiver for another adult, so each adult needs their own email address. Your pass stays secure while a waiver is outstanding.
The waiver explains the event’s risks and the activity rules (food, cooking areas, breaking and competitions, live painting, the outdoor setting and the Sunday cruise), and records the signer’s agreement. The Sunday cruise is run by its boat operator under the operator’s own boarding and safety rules. Competitors also follow each competition’s own competitor requirements, published with that competition. A separate, optional choice covers being featured in photos and video. Saying no to that choice doesn’t affect your pass.
Each person who signs reads the full 2027 waiver on their personal waiver page before signing.
Photos, video and audio
Beats & Bars and Kimagination record the event in photos, video and audio for event documentation and recaps, this website and our social media, promotion of Beats & Bars and Kimagination events, our archive and history, and retrospective or documentary projects about Beats & Bars. We don’t use anyone to endorse unrelated products. If you attend, you may appear in crowd and background shots. Before we feature someone prominently in promotion, we ask for that person’s permission, and a parent or legal guardian’s permission for anyone under 18. If you’d rather not be featured, tell a staff member or email info@beatsandbarsbbq.com. If you gave permission to be featured, you can withdraw it at any time for the future by emailing that address: we’ll stop using your identifiable featured likeness in new promotional uses where reasonably practicable. Withdrawal doesn’t recall or remove material that was already produced, published, printed, distributed, archived or made part of a completed project before your request, and our event archive and history are kept. Crowd and background shots aren’t affected by that choice. We don’t record in restrooms or other private spaces.
Conduct
Beats & Bars is an alcohol-free event. To keep everyone safe, don’t engage in violence, threats, harassment or discrimination, don’t bring alcohol, don’t damage property, and follow staff safety instructions.
Staff may warn someone, ask them to leave an activity, or remove them from the event for serious misconduct; a warning doesn’t have to come first. If you’re removed for misconduct, your admission isn’t refunded, except where the law requires it. Illness, disability-related needs and medical emergencies are never treated as misconduct, and we apply these rules the same way to everyone. When necessary, we contact law enforcement or emergency services.
Accessibility
Beats & Bars is an outdoor event, much of it on grass. If you need an accommodation, tell us what would help: use the request form on your order page or email info@beatsandbarsbbq.com. You don’t need to share a diagnosis. We review each request individually and follow up personally. Restroom, route, parking and drop-off, and boat-access details are still being confirmed, and we’ll share them once they are.
BBQ Bucks
BBQ Bucks are rewards Ambassadors earn when people new to Beats & Bars register through their link. Each Buck is worth $0.25. Earned Bucks can cover up to 75% of eligible Beats & Bars admission; you pay the rest. They can also go toward eligible 4BQ merchandise, where how much they cover depends on the item. BBQ Bucks can’t be used for facilitator workshops, shipping, taxes or fees. They have no cash value and can’t be transferred to another account. Earned Bucks stay available through the following Beats & Bars event cycle and expire when that cycle closes; we’ll publish the date once that event is scheduled. If an eligible purchase you made partly with Bucks is refunded, the Bucks go back to your account and only the card portion is refunded to your card. Ambassador questions: ambassador@beatsandbarsbbq.com.
How we contact you
We contact you by email about your registration. We send your confirmation, your arrival details and any waiver links by email: to the purchaser, to each adult you register (so they can complete their own waiver), and to the parent or guardian you name for anyone under 18. We also ask the purchaser for a mobile number, which we use only for event support. Marketing email is separate: we send it only if you choose it, and you can stop it at any time without affecting your order emails.
On your order page you can add an optional emergency contact for each attendee. We use it only to reach someone about that attendee during the event. Ticket and registration questions: tickets@beatsandbarsbbq.com. General questions: info@beatsandbarsbbq.com.
