Purpose: The registration form Kim asked for: the phrase “Beat Freaq Producer Showcase” on the Beats page and the Ugly Face 4BQ page now links here.
Known:
The form is a SIGN-UP of interest: producer name, name, email, optional phone, city, up to 3 links to their music, an optional note about their sound, a required “you may contact me” box, and an optional, unchecked news box. It is stored (the list is at /api/admin/showcase, or ?format=csv for a spreadsheet, with the admin token), the producer gets a confirmation email and Kim gets a notice email (Reply-To is the producer). Success is shown only after the sign-up is saved. Spam protection: hidden field, minimum fill time, one send per form, a per-address hourly limit.
It shows only when the server has SHOWCASE_OPEN=true (local testing: on; deployed default: off). Otherwise the page says sign-ups open soon.
The sentence about 2026 is from Kim’s “You Never Know Who’s Gonna Grab the Mic” story. The date and place are the event’s. This page is MERGED (Kim, 10-18): her sentence “Here, Beat Freaq features spotlight producers...” (cut from Beats article 03) opens it, then “Beat Freaq on the 2027 Weekend” (the only schedule fact the site has: Saturday, April 24, 2027, Beat Freaq producer programming, working schedule, full schedule announced closer to the event; taken from schedule.html), then “The Producer Showcase” and the sign-up form. EVERYTHING ELSE on this page is my stand-in wording for Kim to rewrite.
Open (RI-040):
What the showcase is in 2027: date and time, format, how many producers, how people are chosen (or first come), what to bring, free or paid, whether they need an event ticket, rules and the length of a set.
Whether to collect anything else (for example producer experience, gear, a Spotify/Bandcamp link, social handles) or less.
Kim’s wording for the page and for the two emails (the confirmation currently says only that we got the sign-up and will follow up).
Privacy: this is a NEW collection, so it needs a new privacy version (draft wording in Discussions/2026-10-18_Producer_Showcase_Signup.md); not applied yet.
