Layout chosen (Kim, 10-17) Bars · Performance Media: one big player with a playlist; local only, still on the not-deployed list

Purpose: Video highlights from the 2026 weekend, shown as Instagram posts (nearly all Soulful Playground’s). Layout B from the options test: one video loaded at a time, a numbered playlist beside it (under it on a phone), a direct “Open on Instagram” link for the current video, and a message with that link if an embed is blocked. Nothing from Instagram loads until the player section is near the screen.

Known:

Page color (Kim, 10-17): pale ORANGE. --paper:#F6E7DA, the orange equivalent of the pale burgundy (same softness; hue moved from red to orange). The burgundy #F0E4E8 stays on file for a different page. (The ?c= color-trial in the address still works for experiments.)
Vibes Over Everything article (Kim, 10-17): Kim’s copy is placed verbatim (only the editing notes in her paste were left out, and stray formatting characters). Its first two lines are the opening paragraph on the Bars page, where the bold “Vibes Over Everything.” links to the new tee page (shop-vibes-over-everything-tee.html, a placeholder). Here: the heading and the paragraph beginning “When the music is right” plus “It’s a movie!” sit at the top of the page; the Instagram videos follow; the rest of the article (from “We firmly believe” to the closing line) sits below the videos, as Kim directed.
Link Widget (Kim’s name for these, 10-17): the Hometeam HipHop Collective logo sits at the bottom right and links to the Shop (shop.html), where the Hometeam pieces are (Kim confirmed the Shop). Built with the Link Widget component, assets/link-widget.css.
Floating background (Kim, 10-17): the same Hometeam logo is also a large background image, fixed in the window at half strength, behind the page, like the globe on the Featured Contributor page: it stays in place while the page and its orange color scroll, and the player, playlist and text sit above it. Built with assets/floating-backdrop.css. Kim kept the small Link Widget as well.
17 posts, all public and embeddable (tested 10-17): 16 posted by soulfulplayground (all as collaborations) and 1 by mikeydstruction (the Garfield Bright of Shai post, a collaboration with beatsbarsbbq). Kim confirmed 10-17: the site is authorized to use any and all media attributed to Soulful Playground. Names and captions are only what the posts show: headings use a name only where the post’s own title graphic, caption or the project records make it clear (Dinco-D, Mic Handz, Yo’ Aphro, Unikron, Malik Cruz and Mikey D show their names in the videos’ title graphics; Luna Ice, Humphrey Bogard and Showrocka were given by Kim 10-17 (and Melaphyse E-theoryAll for @fightforus); Kool Kim, Akil the MC, Eclips3, Percee P via @therealperceep, Lee Majors via @h.leemajors and Garfield Bright of Shai come from captions and project records); Melaphyse E-theoryAll (@fightforus) was given by Kim 10-17. The playlist frames are 4px thick (Kim, 10-17); with many videos the playlist scrolls on its own beside the player.
To add videos: send the Instagram links. Each post’s embed page gives the handle and caption to quote. The playlist is built from one list, so adding is quick. The earlier placeholder page is saved as Website/Editorial/2026-10-17-Performance-Media/_previous-performance-media-placeholder.html.

Open (RI-015): how to print the name “Melaphyse E-theoryAll” (capital letters as Kim typed it); the spelling “Humphrey Bogard” (Kim, 10-17) differs from “Humphrey Bogart” in Jah’s retired Beat Freaq shout-out (his words, left as written); the long caption on the Mikey D tribute post contains strong language, which only shows if someone opens that post on Instagram (the embed does not show captions); Kim approved linking it (10-17); the Garfield post is Mikey D’s own (a collaboration with beatsbarsbbq, so it is Kim’s account too); permission is settled (Kim, 10-17); a line about Instagram embeds in the privacy notice; the Bars card for Performance Media still says “coming soon” and has no link until this page is approved to publish.

When the music is right, the energy is undeniable, and the ambiance is downright scintillating, something happens. Somebody catches that HIPHOP Holy Ghost. Somebody hears a banger they can’t ignore. Somebody who came to chill feels like getting a few words off their chest.
